Today we are going to talk about why fall is the best time to buy a hot tub. So, guys, I am super excited that you're here and I don't have a guest today, but I do know a thing or two about buying a hot tub, and I am not sure why this didn't go live on YouTube, but I believe we are. We're still here, so people will find me one way or another. So, anyway, welcome to the podcast, and we are super excited, and today we're just going to talk about. For those of you who are looking to buy a hot tub, now is the time to do it, and there's just quite a few reasons for this. I've been in the industry for almost 20 years now actually over 20 years and it is definitely a good time of year to buy a hot tub One. The sales are absolutely incredible and that's one of the things I want to talk about right now is in the season discounts. They are huge right now. I'm doing marketing for quite a few hot tub stores these days and there are just some really great deals out there.

Everybody's trying to get everything delivered before the end of the season and that's just a really big thing that happens and for, like myself. We live in South Dakota and the water, I'm sorry. The weather just gets incredibly cold and it gets really hard to deliver hot tubs. We've gotten big enough and busy enough now that we never stop. We keep going, no matter what. We never stop delivering them. But we go from being able to deliver four to eight hot tubs a day down to delivering two hot tubs a day, and that makes a huge difference. And the weather is a huge factor in that. Everybody wants to get as much delivered as they can before the season actually changes and this is the best time of year to use your hot tub. I was in mind this morning and it was just enough of a chill. It was probably about 50, 60 degrees. This morning had my cup of coffee, the water was warm, it was just absolutely amazing and I totally thought that was just absolutely incredible, really enjoyed that and you will enjoy that too. And there's nothing better than watching football in the hot tub. I absolutely love that. I think that's one of the greatest things that you can do in your hot tub is just fall is just a really good time to get the benefits of having a hot tub.

But some of the end of the season sales that I'm aware of right now. I know Hot Springs Paws is doing free accessories, so that's like your free coverlifter and your free step and things like that, and that quickly adds up to almost $1000 in savings by doing that. Hot Springs is also going to be doing some financing specials here in the next month or two, so keep your eyes out on that. But again, the fall is the best time to buy a hot tub. But there's going to be some really good things going on there. Caldera Spaws is doing free saltwater systems starting probably next week. I think that kicks in and that's a huge deal as well, and I believe you get like a free three pack of salt system or salt cartridges with that. So by the time you add the whole thing up, it's a good $15, $1600 in savings and maybe even a little bit more. Just talk to your local dealer, because every dealer has some different things out there that make a big difference. But Caldera Spaws has got some really good stuff going on and they're also going. Caldera is also going to be doing 0% for 36 or 60 months. That'll be coming up probably here at the end, towards the end of October, but huge savings on stuff like that. I did a quick Google search in Sundance is doing 0% for 36 months or they're also doing up to $1500. I think you have your choice there of doing one of those. If you just search do a Google search on hot tub sales, you are definitely going to find a lot of them.

This time of year, this is when you need to buy your hot tub One. You're going to enjoy it most, it's easiest to deliver and the sales are absolutely amazing. And again, like I said, everybody is trying to get their stuff done before winter hits. So now is a good time Now is actually the best time to buy your hot tub. There's a lot of fair sales going on. I just talked to the dealers down in Iowa. They had a killer state fair. They've got a few fairs that are wrapping up in Iowa right now, so that's a good time Fairs and event sales. There's a good time to definitely check that out. So I highly recommend getting out there and just doing some shopping, trying to figure out exactly what you want, and just get some.

Pick out a good quality hot tub and, like I've told you guys before and I'm sure I'll touch on this again I got a few talking points today, but make sure that you find a dealer that you really enjoy, because you are going to create a relationship with this dealer. It's not like buying a car that you can. If you buy a car and it needs service, you can just take it back to any dealership anywhere and get it serviced, or find any local mechanic to do that. Hot tubs are a little more challenging than that. So it's important that you get a relationship with the person that you're gonna buy the hot tub from, because you're gonna need some help and you wanna be able to talk to somebody who you know is going to be with you for service after the sale. That's actually why I'm here and that's why I do my consulting and that type of stuff is that a lot of people need help afterwards. They feel really lost after they get their hot tub and I can tell you the majority of my people who hire me for consulting are non-hot spring or non-caldera customers because they're just totally lost and they have no idea how to take care of their hot tub.

And it's really important that you take care of your hot tub and you know what you're doing and you just have the confidence to do. We all know when you start learning these chemicals it's a foreign language Things like alkalinity, chlorine, ph what does any of that mean? So it's really important that you have somebody on your side that will help you through that, and I do as much as I can to help. I have all the YouTube videos and I have the podcast. I have the book Hot Tub Clarity. That's a big help as well, but there's free downloads.

I do all that, but it is important that whoever you buy the hot tub from, you feel really comfortable going back to them, and I'm a big believer in buying hot tubs from local dealers because they're the ones that know your water and they know what's going on and they know how to fix your exact problems that you have. Like when I had my hot tub dealership in Nebraska, the particular town I was living in the hardness in the metal and everything that came with that was absolutely just unheard of on how hard that was. I would call Biogarden and I would be like, hey, what do I got to do with this? This is where my chemicals are coming, or my hardness is coming in, and they would laugh at me and tell me that wasn't possible and I'm like it's every single customer that comes in here, so it is possible. So we had to figure out how to deal with that hardness and still keep our hot tubs crystal clear and protect our investments. So that's really important.

And so what I would tell people in that market versus what I tell people in the Sioux Falls market or the WaterTail market is very different, and it's really important. Even in Sioux Falls, we have different little pockets that have different water recipes, so it's really hard for any one of us to say this is exactly what you do every single time, because everybody's water is different. So it's really important that you do go to your local dealer and you buy a hot tub from there. If you just buy one online and it's coming I know more and more people are selling stuff online there is something to be said for having a relationship with the person that actually sold you the hot tub, and when I'm selling hot tubs, people get my cell phone number. They can text me anytime and hopefully that you hopefully you create that relationship with whoever you buy your hot tub from. So everybody's a little bit different, but at the very least you have a store that you can go to that can test your water and help you through that and help you through the delivery process.

The delivery process can be quite a challenge in itself. There is nothing worse, and we've all seen the viral videos that happened, where they shoved the hot tub off the back of the truck and you're supposed to try to figure out how to get that in the backyard. Some of these hot tubs weigh over a thousand pounds and they're very awkward and it's really important that you don't just throw them off the back of the truck because if you do, you can break some plumbing and you can do some things. It's important that you trust whoever you buy your hot tub from there. That is probably the most important decision that you will make when it comes to buying a hot tub is getting it from someone you trust and you like, because you are going to create a relationship with them. When I interviewed Steve Hammack, the thing that he said is they felt like when somebody bought a hot tub from them, it was like entering a marriage, because there is a future relationship that happens with that. This isn't one of those purchases that you can just buy online and assume everything's going to be okay. You can do it, but your hot tub is probably going to be a three to five year hot tub versus a 15 to 20 year hot tub, and those are just some things to think about as you're doing so.

But this definitely check out the fall, check out the fall sales. If you're in the market, now is a really good time to check it out. There are some awesome deals going on and individual dealers have specials as well. A lot of people are trying to thin their inventory out, especially if you want to get a really good deal. I would definitely look at in stock inventory. That is what most everybody is trying their hardest to get rid of at the moment. If there's any in stock inventory crazy for what we were talking about three years ago, when there was absolutely no hot tubs on the market at all. Most hot tub dealers have a surplus of inventory at this point. So this is definitely a good fall to buy your hot tubs and I highly encourage anybody who's looking at getting a hot tub to go shopping. Now is a good time to do.

Another thing is the reason you want to do it now is convenient installation for year round enjoyment. There is nothing better than using your hot tub right now. And it's even better using it in the winter. Christmas morning, getting to get up and use your hot tub and enjoy that with your family, that is absolutely fantastic. And if you can get it back there now when a is warm enough to get your pad ready, get to clean up the yard, get make a path for the hot tub delivery people to get back there, the electricians are happy to come out and wire up your hot tubs. At this particular moment you don't have to worry about frozen hoses for filling the hot tub up. It's a good time to fill your hot tub and then you're ready for the whole winter.

We're actually, for those of my hot tub owners that are already out there, now is the time of year when you want to. Now is the time of year when you actually want to start thinking about drain, cleaning and refill. So everybody gets started this time of year. Sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving, you want to drain, clean and refill your hot tub, and when you do that, then you're good for the whole winter. So now is a good time to buy a hot tub. So you get it delivered by Halloween and it makes a huge difference. So think about that as well. This time of year is definitely a good time a year to to deliver a hot tub. It's probably actually one of the best times of the year. It's not so hot that you're thinking, oh, I don't even want a hot tub, but it's also the delivery guys are happy and they don't have to be bundled up in in overalls and that type of thing. So that's definitely what you want to do.

My other tip, other advice, is expert tips for finding the perfect hot tub. Again, that's going to go back to going to the dealer that you originally. That you're going to have a relationship with the things that you want to have is you want to make sure that A you're getting a good deal. B go sit in the hot tubs. There is nothing worse than getting a hot tub that doesn't fit you. If you're six foot four and you try to buy a two person 29 inch tall hot tub, it's really hard to get you down and get your shoulders down below the water and it just makes it really difficult for that to happen. So keep that in mind as well. That is one of the things that really can affect things. So go in that.

Go into the store, sit in the hot tubs, check them out, make sure they're comfortable. A lot of people think they want loungers and then once they sit in them I'm very a short person, I'm only like five foot four, and for me a lounge just doesn't work. I didn't know that until I actually sat in the hot tubs Everybody thinks they want a lounger going into it. Loungers are really built for people that are five foot eight or taller, and from five foot eight to six foot four are really where those loungers I'd even say five 10. And so it's really hard for you to stay in a lounge if you're not that tall. So those are some things to check out and that's why you want to get some expert tips.

You also want to make sure that you're you're getting enough power for you. Some people really like a really good massage, and if you're doing the hot spring spas and that moto machete, moto massage jet that goes up and down your back Absolutely incredible, totally love it. But then, on the same note, if you sit in the ultra side seat on the caldera spas and those have the spinners that give you a complete and total back massage and then you also got the wrist jets, and that's absolutely incredible. But you can't figure that out by just looking at pictures on the website. You need to go into the store, touch it, fill it, figure out the things that make it work, figure out the things that are important to you. Is salt water important to you? I would encourage you to say yes, it is, but it's not necessarily salt waters, not for absolutely everyone, but it's. It is a good thing and it's definitely something you do want to check out. So there's saltwater.

Do you want the ease of the spa frog system? Is that something you just want to make sure that it's really easy to take care of the hot tub? Now there's built-in spa frog systems and there's frog systems that you just do you add the ball or you add the floating system, and those work out really well as well. So just keep those in mind, and they're one of the things that. How are you going to take care of your hot tub? Are you going to be a bromine customer? Are you somebody who wants to do bromine? Is this hot tub perfect for bromine? Are you looking at, maybe, the Sundance with or I'm sorry the Jacuzzi with their new ozone system that they have, or ultraviolet system? There's just things that you need to look at and see what's important to you, and the right salesperson will definitely help explain all of that to you. So definitely go check that out and then it's just it's. It's important that it fits.

I'd say that's the most important thing when it comes to buying a hot tub is that it fits. I'd say the next most important thing and that's just going to get you get me into one of my final points is energy efficiency. Again, when you're out there shopping, there's so many new hot tubs coming out and I'm super excited about some of the new stuff that's coming. I can't wait to share it with you guys. But there's some new hot tubs coming out and you're going to there's some cool stuff and you want to make sure that they're energy efficient and they have great features to save you money, and things like that are going to include. You want to make sure that you have full foam insulation. You want to make sure that your hot tubs are completely filled with insulation. Especially those of us that live in the Midwest or we have extremely cold winters. That's a really important thing.

I'm a big fan of a circulation pump. I think circulation pumps are one of the most important things that you can have on a hot tub. If you're hot tub two last longer, you want to have a circulation pump and what that is is that's a pump that's going to heat and clean 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and it's a real small pump and it's super energy efficient. But it's also going to keep your chemical costs down because that water is moving because of that circulation pump and if you do something like a hot spring spa or a caldera spa, that is actually going to generate 80% of that heat that is generated by that pump is going to get transferred back into the hot tub and that's just going to make it that much more energy efficient to run it. So those are things that I'm real partial to. Does that mean that I'll sell you won't sell you a hot tub without a circulation pump? Absolutely not.

Sometimes those are the things that people need. Sometimes you need to have a hot tub that doesn't have a circulation pump. Maybe you're doing a rental property or something like that, where you're not going to be in the you're not going to be able to keep an eye on the hot tub 24-7. In a case like that, maybe a circulation pump isn't the best choice. Maybe you need to have something with a jet pump that'll heat and clean that way and just kicks on and does its stuff that way. Again, I would look at make sure you have fiber core full foam insulation. Those are a big thing in my opinion. Foam insulation is going to make a difference. One is going to help the structure of the hot tub, but two, it's also going to make the hot tub much more efficient for you to run. In today's market, everybody is looking for ways to keep their costs down. If you have a fully insulated hot tub, that's a way that you can do that. If you have a circulation pump, that's going to make you use less chemicals because the water is moving and rotating and doing all the things that happen there. Those are some of my tips for why you should get a hot tub in the fall.

Being a hot tub salesperson for as long as I have, the busiest time of year for sure is spring. That is when we deliver the most hot tubs. But we're also getting caught up from the winter In the spring, especially in my market. In the spring is when everybody wants their hot tub because they bought it clear back in November, december, january and decided not to take delivery because of the winter weather, and we deliver a lot of hot tubs in the spring because everybody's excited for the new season and all the stuff that comes with that. For if you take it in the fall, there's usually a little more wiggle room. The delivery departments aren't as busy as they would be in spring. It's probably the second busiest time of year and it's just there's something magical about being in your hot tub in this cooler weather and the benefits that you get from soaking in hot water and especially when it's just a little bit cool not cold, but a little bit cool out, are absolutely amazing and I know that you will be happy.

And, honestly, folks, if you're looking to buy a hot tub and I truly think you are gonna get some of the best deals that you've ever gotten if you go hot tub shopping this fall there are definitely some really good deals out there and the hot tub network is definitely moving hot tubs and they're doing a lot of stuff to make it happen. And, yes, they are available again, you're not gonna have to wait a year to get your hot tub. They're definitely almost. I don't know anybody that doesn't have hot tubs in stock at the moment and even if you do need to order it, it'll get turned around very quickly. So you'll definitely get your hot tub, the exact hot tub you want. You will get it very quickly. If you are looking for the best deals, I would definitely go see what's in stock for inventory. There's a lot of hot tub dealers out there that would make some really good deals on hot tubs. And again, the specials that are coming up the free salt systems, the financing, the free accessories, all the things that are happening right now. They're designed for people to get into hot water and I'm obviously a big proponent of getting into hot water. I really think everybody should have a hot tub.

I believe in hot tubs. I know hot tubs are. They're life changing. I'm in mine twice a day, every day. When it was 110 degrees out, I was maybe in it once a day. I would usually go in the morning. I have become a morning user as I've gotten older. I love to get up early and sit in the hot tub, drink a cup of coffee and just wake up, get the mind going. That's when I have my best ideas. That's when the conversations are the best. I really do enjoy my hot tub in the morning, but the evening is great for getting a little bit better sleep and the things that happen there.

And guys and I know if you buy a hot tub this time of year, you're going to be really happy and it's a good time to trade in too if you're thinking about upgrading your hot tub. There's some cool stuff out there right now. That is the Hot Spring. High Life series is just absolutely fantastic. Any of the salt systems caldera salt systems are incredible. I highly recommend those and you guys would just absolutely it would do you good to go check out what's going on Next time you go get your water tested, something like that just maybe ask and see what's new, because there is some really cool new stuff that has come out there. They couldn't do a lot of changes during COVID, but now that COVID is over, the manufacturers are definitely stepping up and doing some really cool stuff and everybody's getting into a lot of really neat stuff as well the saunas and the cold plunges and all the things that make wellness better. It's a good time to go check it out. Guys, I think that's everything I have today, but it's fall. It is the absolute best time to go get a hot tub and I really appreciate every single one of you.
